The city of Beaverton is located in the eastern part of Clackamas County, about 10 miles east of downtown Portland. It is bordered by the city of Milwaukie to the north, east, and southeast, the city of Oregon City to the south, and the Portland metropolitan area to the west. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , all of it land. As of the census of 2010, there were 89,161 people, 32,021 households, and 21,870 families residing in the city. The population density was .
